I’m a Loser
Was listening to Mark Driscoll today and he said a statement that really connected. I will paraphrase…
Many Christians think that they are winners because they are on the winning team. They are not. They are losers. Most Christians are losers. Every now and then we get a cool person (rich, celebrity etc.) but for the most part God looks down at us and thinks I made the universe and you made a sandwhich. But God chooses us because he loves us not because we are a winner. He did not pick us because we are 1st round draft choices, but in spite of the fact that we are losers. He picked us because he is nice – that is grace.
Wow.

“Most Christians are losers.” I wondered why I fit in so well.
“. . .I made the universe and you made a sandwhich.”
That’s brilliant! I love it! It’s like when Louie Giglio expressed that we just throw out terms like “I just met with God today,” but we are incapable of staying out in the sunlight without sunscreen on! No way we could stand in the brightness of Him.
Every glimpse is grace. . .
What a quote… Thanks for sharing!
