A highly respected, cool british pastor invited me up to give a little “testimony” of what God was doing in my life. There was roughly 1000 people in the audience. I got up and took the mic and said, in a very bad british impersonation: “Don’t you just love Pete, he makes you want to say: Good morning!” Not one person laughed! Not only didn’t they laugh, they all thought what I did was making fun of this man. I proceeded to give the worst testimony of all time. Afterwards, as they were cleaning up, I stood amidst 1000 people moving around…and not one person said anything to me! OUCH!
